MISSION
In alignment with Georgia Tech’s strategic plan to provide a “student-focused education,” the Office of Success Programs’ mission is to support the orientation, transition and academic success of our undergraduates through comprehensive programs and services that promote the holistic development of students within an academically rigorous environment. To accomplish this mission, our department:

Facilitates the successful orientation of incoming students (freshmen and transfers) to the Georgia Tech community through programs such as FASET Orientation, Freshman Convocation, and R.A.T.S. Week
-
Provides orientation programming that helps parents and family members of incoming students successfully support their student’s educational experience
-
Administers a freshman seminar course (GT1000), which enhances a new student’s academic and social adjustment to Georgia Tech and introduces the resources and skills that are necessary for them to be successful learners in a research university
-
Provides leadership development opportunities for students through programs such as FASET Cabinet, FASET Leaders, Freshman Council, GT1000 Team Leader Advisory Board (TLAB), and GT1000 Team Leaders
-
Provides individualized academic support for Georgia Tech students through 1-to-1 tutoring and academic coaching
-
Offers diverse types of academic support such as Peer Led Undergraduate Study (PLUS), a student facilitated collaborative study groups based on the Supplemental Instruction model
-
Develops and delivers a comprehensive workshop series on issues relevant to student success
