Do you want to study abroad for a semester and/or academic year? If so, this session is for you. Session topics will include choosing a program, application procedures, course selection and credit transfer, program costs, etc.

Fellowship Communication Program: National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Information Session 11:00 AM-Noon Student Center, Piedmont Room
Information session for seniors and first- and second-year graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and math about how to apply for a three-year, $30,000 per year NSF fellowship for graduate school funding.

General Study Abroad Information Session 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Savant Building, Room 211
Interested in an academic adventure overseas? Need info on the options that Georgia Tech provides to students? Have questions about how study abroad works at Tech? A study abroad advisor will be available to answer questions and provide information about studying abroad.

This session is for those who want to learn more about how to get involved in research, finding a mentor, research opportunities within your major, funding opportunities, and more.

Presidential Investiture 11:00 AM-12:30 PM Alexander Memorial Coliseum
All students are invited to the investiture of Georgia Tech's eleventh president, President Dr. G. P. "Bud" Peterson.  Join the campus community, government leaders, and delegates from across the nation to celebrate the official installation of Dr. Peterson as president and to hear his charge for Tech's future.

All Campus Welcome Back Event 7:00-9:30 PM Callaway Plaza
Join President G. P. "Bud" Peterson, fellow students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the beginning of another academic year.  Free entertainment, food, and t-shirts will be available.  The festivities will conclude in Bobby Dodd Stadium at historic Grant Field with a fireworks display.

Student Government Association (SGA): Freshmen Election Applications Due by 5:00 PM Student Center, SGA Office (by Einstein’s)
Go to www.sga.gatech.edu to get an application to run in the Freshmen SGA elections.
