Friend of the Freshman Seminar Award

Established in 2004, The Friend of the Freshman Seminar Award honors the contributions of an outstanding individual, department, or organization that has supported Georgia Tech’s freshman seminar program. Past recipients include:

2004:  The Office of the Registrar
2005:  The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL)
2006:  Dr. Bill Osher, Former Director of Success Programs (20th Anniversary of Freshman Seminar)
2007:  Julia Whitfield, Former Adminstrative Coordinator in Success Programs
2008:  Library and Information Center
 

Team Leader of the Year Awards

Each year, freshmen in GT1000 nominate outstanding Team Leaders for this award. Winners are chosen based on their relationship as a role model or mentor, ability to provide significant and sound advice, and their facilitation of the learning process in the classroom.
