Steven holds two degrees from Georgia Tech- a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry. He completed his doctorate at Emory University in Chemistry and Environmental Health, and he also received a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. Before joining Success Programs, Steven served as Assistant Director for TA and Graduate Student Programs at Tech’s Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) and as a Program Coordinator at Tech’s Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC), where he managed tutoring programs that linked Tech students to local elementary schools. His professional interests include teaching and learning in introductory STEM courses and factors which lead to student success in the first and second years of college. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing tennis, going to GT football games, and enjoying Atlanta’s great restaurants!
Bethany Naser

Bethany earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration with a specialization in Student Affairs from Texas A&M University. After completing her graduate studies at Texas A&M University, Bethany worked in the new student programming areas at both Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and the University of North Texas in Denton, TX where she focused her professional pursuits in the areas of orientation, transition and retention program development. Her professional interests include first-year experience programming, tradition/transition camps, college student adjustment, leader training and development and social justice education. When not busy with orientation, Bethany loves the performing arts, reading a good book, catching up with family and friends, exploring Atlanta (it’s all new to this Texas girl), and of course spending time with her cat Beasley.

Eric received a B.S. in Public Relations and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2004 and a M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University in 2006. Before coming to Georgia Tech and joining the Success Programs staff in 2007, Eric worked at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for one year in their orientation and first-year student programs office. His professional interests include freshman development, transfer student services, parent and family programming, and GLBT issues. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dog and golfing on the weekends.

Latonya received her B.B.A. in Finance from the University of West Georgia in 1992 and has been employed with Georgia Tech for over eleven years. During that time, she has served in different support roles in the Library and Information Center, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and the Division of Professional Practice. Latonya now provides administrative support for all the programs associated with Success Programs. Her interests include reading, movies, shopping and entertaining.

Catie received her Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, and Culture from Georgia Tech in December 2007 and is beginning graduate school in the fall to pursue a Masters in College Student Affairs Administration. She was born in Atlanta and grew up in Pensacola, FL. As an undergraduate, she became interested in Student Affairs while participating in several leadership positions on campus, including FASET Cabinet for two years. This summer she will be completing an orientation internship at Central Washington University. Catie enjoys cooking, traveling, the outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.
